Who I work with.

I work with people who want to understand what's behind the problems that brought them to therapy and learn strategies for lasting change. Clients who are drawn to my practice often recognize that something isn't working and want to see real progress whether they are high achieving, work in competitive roles, or prone to anxiety and have difficulty managing stress or depressive and negative thoughts.

I see clients from different stages in life from motivated college and graduate students and in their early stages of their careers to individuals mid life struggling with juggling their own families, parents and middle and late stages in their careers.

Regardless of what is bringing you to therapy, I believe therapy should help you live in line with what matters to you. With training and certifications in various types of CBT, I'll work with you to build skills you can use in daily life: managing emotions, focusing your attention, handling stress, and making changes that stick.

Individual Therapy

Understanding why you feel stuck is a good start. Doing something about it is what changes your life.

That's the idea behind individual therapy with me. In one-on-one CBT sessions, you'll learn to spot the thought and behavior patterns that keep problems going, test whether those thoughts hold up, and practice responses that work better. It's active, collaborative, and built around your goals.

Most people start with a 50-minute session once or twice a week, which helps progress build early on. We will decide on the right setup together.

The approach is evidence-based and personalized, with a focus on change that lasts.

How do we start?

Therapy with me starts with data, not guesswork. An in-depth intake and a few questionnaires show us exactly where you stand, so we can skip the warm-up and get specific right away. They also let us see whether things are improving.

From there, we will create a plan collaboratively based on the problems and goals bringing you to therapy with recommendations as needed.

Expect sessions that ask something of you. You'll pick up skills, try them out between appointments, and bring back what you learn. Many people finish within six months to a year, and you're welcome to return for a booster if life stirs things up again.
